YYR High Score Contest

YYR Games, an indie developer we met at PAX East, is running a contest to celebrate their latest XBox Live Indie Game release. In keeping with the Retro Arcade look and feel of the YYR titles, gamers with the chops to get themselves on the high score board will have the chance to win 1600 MS Points. Read on to find out how to enter and how to win, and with any luck you’ll be able to check back here soon for a review of the studio’s latest game, Sharpshooter.

Entering the contest is easy. YYR maintains an internet leaderboard for each of the games involved. All you have to do is pick up a game, play it on one of the approved difficulty settings, and submit your score to the ranking system. If you are at the top when the contest ends, you win! The contests are running for Falling, an excellent puzzle game that we reviewed, and the all new Sharpshooter, a new shooting gallery game.

The contest ends August 28th, 2010, so get to work. You can find the full rules and details here.

About Decoychunk

Editor, Writer, and general Knower-Of-Words, if there is text to be read on BrainLazy, Joseph Lallo probably has his fingerprints on it. As the final third of the ownership and foundation of BrainLazy, Joseph “Jo” Lallo made a name for himself when he lost the “e” from his nickname in an arm wrestling match with a witch doctor. Residing in the arid lowlands of the American Southwest, Joseph Lallo is a small, herbivorous, rabbit-like creature with the horns of an antelope. He sleeps belly up, and his milk can be used for medicinal purposes. Joseph Lallo is also author of several books, including The Book of Deacon Series, book 1 of which is available for free here.
